Mission:

The Mount Saint Mary College Athletic Training staff is committed to providing traditional athletic training and sports medicine services to all our student-athletes.

Philosophy:
The underlying philosophy of the athletic training department is to return injured student-athletes to competition as quickly and as safely as possible. The same level of care is provided to all student-athletes regardless of sport or participation level. We also believe it is important to educate the student-athlete about their injury to assist in the rehabilitation process and to help prevent re-injury.

Services:
The athletic training staff provides many services to assist in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. Services include:
- Evaluation to determine medical eligibility
- Development of individualized rehabilitation programs
- Education of the student-athlete regarding their injury and its treatment
- Referral to appropriate specialists

Insurance:
The NCAA and Mount Saint Mary College require each student athlete to show proof of primary insurance coverage either through self coverage or through a parent or guardian.
