AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Sophomore Dan McCrea (Hicksville, N.Y.) pitched six innings and allowed just one earned run, but the Mount Saint Mary College baseball team still dropped the second game of today's double-header to Husson, 3-2.  The Knights lost the first game, 7-0.

With the game tied at the end of the seven scheduled innings, Husson scratched out a run in the eighth against sophomore Ben Shortslef (Sterling, N.Y.) to take the victory.  For the Mount, freshman Michael Matuk (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored, while sophomore Louis Peisel (Brewster, N.Y.) went 1-for-3 with a run batted in.  Senior Rich DeRosa (Valley Stream, N.Y.) also rapped out a pair of hits for the Knights.

In game one, the Eagles knocked out freshman pitcher Joe CoFrancesco (Hamden, Conn.) in four innings and went on to capture a 7-0 victory.  Matuk, Peisel, and freshman Matt Prescia (Oakdale, N.Y.) had two hits each.

The Knights continue their Florida schedule tomorrow, March 9, with a single game against Wheaton College.  Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
