NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College junior
Jess Tice (Altamont, N.Y.) recorded 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists to lead the Blue Knights to a 57-40 victory over the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Skyline Conference action Wednesday night. Tice’s squad improved to 14-4 overall (11-1 Skyline), while the Dolphins fell to 10-7 (7-4 Skyline).
Mount Saint Mary limited Mount Saint Vincent to just three field goals in the first half and led 34-15 at the break. The Blue Knights pushed the lead to as many as 24 in the second half, but the Dolphins closed the game on a 7-0 run to make the final score, 57-40.
Tice was a big part of the first half dominance for the Mount, as she posted a double-double (11 points, 12 rebounds) in the first twenty minutes. The junior finished with game-highs in points and rebounds while turning in her most complete game of the season.

Shannon Sangster (Syracuse, N.Y.), who tallied 12 points, 8 boards, and 4 assists. Junior
Amanda Horvers (Kingston, N.Y.) connected three times from behind the arc to finish with 9 points. Senior
Catie Biordi (Beacon, N.Y.) drained two triples and had 8 points.
Mount Saint Vincent senior Jill Brady (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with 15 points. Senior Lauren Percodani (Staten Island, N.Y.) was the next highest scorer at 9 points. As a team, Mount Saint Vincent shot just 20-percent for the game.
Up next for the Blue Knights is Sage. Mount Saint Mary will take on the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on February 3 in Troy, New York.
