OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - Old Westbury sophomore Lester Prosper (Bellmore, N.Y.) scored 30 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the Panthers to an 82-69 victory over Mount Saint Mary College on Saturday.  The Blue Knights slipped to 5-7 overall (4-3 Skyline) as the Panthers ran their record to 8-4 (6-1 Skyline).

Leading 27-22 with under six minutes to play in the first half, Old Westbury ripped off a 9-0 run thanks in large part to the play of Prosper.  The sophomore scored the final seven points of the streak, hitting a layup, a three-point play, and a pair of free throws.  The Panthers went to the locker room with a 40-28 advantage.

Prosper continued his strong play out of the gates in the second half, scoring eight points during a 13-0 run that staked the Panthers to a 53-28 lead.

Mount Saint Mary freshman Lenny Ragaglia (Staten Island, N.Y.) knocked down a three-pointer with 13:26 to play, capping a 10-0 run for the Blue Knights and bringing them back to within 15.  The Mount would get as close as ten down the stretch, but never cut the lead back to single digits.

Ragaglia led the Blue Knights with 27 points, all of them by way of the three-pointer.  The freshman connected on 9-of-17 attempts from long range and fell just one three-pointer short of the school record set by Mike Hoyt in 2007.

Sophomore Kevin Milella (Floral Park, N.Y.) also had a nice afternoon for the Mount, pouring in 16 points to go along with 9 rebounds.

Prosper shot 11-for-17 from the floor and connected on 8-of-10 from the free throw line.  Senior Bill Reese (Selma, Ala.) contributed 13 points and junior Frantz Granjean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) pitched in with 12.

In their next game, Mount Saint Mary will host Maritime College.  The Blue Knights will take on the Privateers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12 inside the Kaplan Center.
