NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Mount Saint Mary College senior Tomasz Michalak (Newington, Conn.) and sophomore Francesco Marando (Slate Hill, N.Y.) were selected as members of the All-Skyline Conference second team.

Michalak, a midfielder, was a deserving selection to the second team. He scored two goals during the season, one a game-winner against Maritime College, but his contributions went well beyond the statistics. The senior performed well as a defensive-minded midfielder and did a nice job of controlling the play for the Blue Knights. He started all 16 games, capping off a remarkable career-long feat. Michalak started all 72 games played by the men’s soccer team during his four-year career.

Marando, a highly-talented forward for the Blue Knights, led the team in goals (7) and points (16). Four of his goals came against Skyline Conference opponents and he tallied three game-winning goals during the season. The sophomore created chances all season long with his nifty foot skills and tremendous vision.

Mount Saint Mary finished out the season with a record of 7-8-1.
